QuickNav
Many blind and visually impaired people face significant orientation challenges when visiting small clubs or bars. As part of the “Inclusive Design” course, we developed QuickNav-a handy, tactile orientation map designed to make it easier for blind and visually impaired individuals to independently access small clubs, bars, and similar indoor spaces. The goal was to create a practical, affordable, and easy-to-implement solution that provides real value to both users and venue operators while reducing barriers.

Concept
QuickNav consists of two components: a handy A6-sized card showing the floor plan of the specific club, and a small, credit card-sized legend. The map highlights important areas using different elevations and indentations, while emergency exits are specially marked to enhance safety. The legend explains the various tactile and visual symbols, enabling users to quickly orient themselves. For venue operators, QuickNav offers a straightforward way to make their spaces more accessible and to welcome a wider range of guests.
